This paper summarizes the present research situation in bodywork sculpt and aerodynamics using in vehicles, analyzes the development trend of the technology using in this area, and discusses the deficiency of this kind research work in domestic vehicles. On the basis of those, an idea of passenger car modeling based on structural analysis and aerodynamic analysis is presented to make modeling combined with art and engineering design.Subsequently, according to the demand of the client, combined with theory and practice, the characteristic of body design for vehicle is expatiated in different design facets such as art, structure of the strength and the stiffness, aerodynamics and acoustic yawp control.According to the demand of passenger car modeling based on engineering design, the method of data transform between CAE geometrical model and passenger car modeling is discussed. And concrete measures of data transform are expounded with the different types of the CAE models.Basing on the finite element geometrical model of body framework for the passenger car that is satisfied with the need of the strength and the stiffness, and Using method of model data transform which talked before, the passenger car body modeling is built.After that, using the FEM and basing on the passenger car modeling, the CFD model of vehicle aerodynamic analysis is built. And the velocity, pressure, turbulent kinetic energy and turbulence dissipation rate of the flow field out of the passenger car is calculated. These analytic results can provide reference and gist to the passenger car modeling.Then based inside room of the passenger car that built before, the three finite element acoustic models of inside room are built. These are the model of simple acoustic field, the model of acoustic field that is consider the effect of seat and the model of acoustic field that is consider the effect of acoustics fluid-structure interaction. At the same time, the first fifty inherent frequency and shape of vibrant acoustics mode is calculated. These analytic results can be used to the research of yawp control. And the effect of different finite element acoustic model is discussed later.All the studies in this paper not only actualize the passenger car modeling based on structural analysis and aerodynamic analysis in the initial stages of passenger car modeling, but also offer a valuable analysis method to modeling of the passenger car body.
