The data stored in the Distributed Control System (DCS) are not well understoodand mined. This paper designed a system of life management based KnowledgeDiscovery in Databases (KDD), and the system tried to deal with the boiler operationaldata from DCS to get some useful information with the method combined the attributivefuzzy clustering and association rules mining which is improved on mutative confidence.The reason why the high-temperature heating surface is over-heated is found and themeans applied to improve the operation is gained as well. It is feasible and practical inthe instance related in detail. The new method above can be used in the analysis of therelationship among the parameters, the fault diagnosis and the instruction in theoperation, so it can provide technical support for the high-temperature heating surface'slife management, with the value of both academy and utility.
