In the market revolution of the electric power system, Available Transfer Capability (ATC) of electric power system is an important target which reflects the spare capability of transmission capability in the electric power system. In these years, the traditional calculation method on ATC is sensitivity analysis. When adjusting the system power, the sensitivity analysis is based on the independency of every generator's injection power, as only reflects the linear relation between the injecting power of power source and ATC, but not considered the nonlinear relations. This paper presents a newly method which is based on Power Distribution Analyses. Compared with the method of sensitivity analysis, the method analyzes the relation between the transmission power and the generator injection power from the physics flow under the same flow section. Using the standard IEEE-14 bus system, the numerical result shows the characteristic and advantage of the power distribution method at the finality of the paper.
