Two main parts on thermal power system optimization and energy savingtransformation for coal-fired power generation units comprise the paper. First, the flowpath reform of the medium and small units have almost completed in our country, butthese units almost haven't reformed their thermal power system, and this badlyinfluenced the running efficient of the units. In this paper, the turbine, the regenerativeheating system and the auxiliary machine are considered as a whole to be optimizedsynthetically. 200MW, and 125MW units are researched, the reform projects areproposed to further enhance the unit efficiency, reduce the coal consumption and guidethe design and reformation of the thermal power system.Second, water pumps of most 300MW units is driven by small steam turbine andthe exhaust steam of the small turbine discharges in the condenser directly, so the wasteheat can not be fully utilized. According to this character of the units, the reform ofcanceling the deaerator for conservation of energy is researched, and thermal powersystem is optimized for utilizing the waste heat of the small turbine, improving thethermal economy of the units and providing guidance for the design of thermal powersystem without deaerator.
