Based on many advantages such as high load capacities, high rate for construction, good depth for consolidation, the rigid pile foundation have been widely used in soft soil foundation treatment of expressway in East China eara.Differentiate to the cement mixing pipes and sand mixing pipes , the rigid pipes have high stiffness , low compressibility . the rigid pile can not collaborate with siol deformation though load of Expressway embankment. It differentiates to the piles foundation or flexible friction foundation. Rigid friction foundation is newly method in foundation engineering . Since rigid friction foundation appear, its theoretical research have been fall behind the engineering practies . When the computing parameters are decided on through common flexible friction foundation design, the deflection is inevitable in the research of settlement analysis and bearing capacity computation with the engineering reality.so the research in rigid piles foundation work performance with soft soil expressway embankment is very important in practical construction engineering,it can improve the design method and theory.In this article, the load transfer function method is used in analyzing the Load-Settlement relation curve of single rigid pile, subsequently the work performance of group piles present through Poulos displacement method. Finally the non-linear FEM program is used in a computing example, and the central parameters about frictional force distribution, the discussion of rigid pile foundation design are present.
