In recent years, the traffic volume on the bridge is uprushed. At the same time the bearing value of the vehicles becomes more and more big. This causes the bridge always in a overcapacity condition. So many kinds of pavement damages occur on the bridge only after a short time of it's putting to use. The damages are: crack, track, upheaval, pit, asphalt coating dropping off. So the early damages of the pavement become urgently to be solved. So we must established a series of standard specifications for design and construction of the bridge deck pavement through the study on the key technical problems. In this paper, The causes of the damages are analyzed accordinghe to the main failure types of bridge deck pavement after meticulous census. Take the Yongdinghe bridge as the testing bridge, bed the strain appliances on the Yongdinghe bridge. In follow days measure the value of the strain, and find out the influence on the pavement caused by the shrinkage of the concrete. After the bridge put to use we have a load test study on it. Through the data of the test deduce the law of the pavement through the data of the load test.Simulate Yongdinghe bridge in term of it's real condition through the universal software ANSYS. First we find the most unfavorable place on the bridge, then change the pavement's geometry and physical parameters to analyze the stress value of the pavement. After that analysis the overload conditions through increase the vertical load value. Then make the conclusion that the overload is an abruption act on the pavement. The horizontal load is the vertical load and the friction's multiplication. In this paper we discuss the horizontal load's influence on the pavement.
