A Study On The Several Problems In The Subjective Assessment Of Noise Quality And Its Application

Noise quality research is a new field of acoustics research, and finds its growing and extensive application in environmental noise monitoring, products' noise controlling, etc. There has been only about 20 years since it was put forward in 1985 aboard, the theory and application research also has a great deal to do. Currently research of sound quality is an international academic spot, while domestic research in the field is still at the beginning stage.Choosing people in Chinese context as assessment subjects, vehicle interior noises and environmental noises as assessment objects, the paper makes a discussion on sound quality's assessment flow, the relationship between sound quality and soundscape, assessment terms of sound quality, subjective assessment method research of sound quality, etc. According to the newly research of sound quality, it modifies the assessment flow of sound quality put forward by Blauert. It considers the effect of environment's effect in the assessment flow of sound quality. It explicates the concept of soundscape, discusses the relationship between sound quality research and soundscape research. It makes a survey of assessment terms in Chinese context and classifies the assessment terms. In order to overcome the low correlation between assessment subjects' result of traditional rating scale, it develops a new subjective assessment method based on paired comparision.Finally, it makes a correlation analysis of subjective and objective parameters, makes a multi-dimensional linear regression analysis and concludes a relationship between preference and sound quality parameters.
