With the increasing demand for congeniality of product, as an important part of congeniality of product, the sound quality of product has been paid great attention to. The chief problem in the research of sound quality is evaluation of a sound. The traditional objective evaluation method ignores person's subjective sensations on the sound, so it is not applicable to the research of sound quality. But the general method of evaluation of sound quality which is carried out with people on-line has the limitation of efficiency, cost, time and so forth, so it is necessary to establish objective evaluation method based on subjective sensations. The dissertation discusses the characteristics of the human auditory system and its describable method and with this understanding establishes the objective method based on subjective perception. It is clarified that the person's evaluation on noise is not only "subjective" and qualitative analysis, but also quantitative analysis based on stable foundations. The availability and some problems of these methods of sound quality are illustrated with some concrete emulational examples. In addition, the thesis also discusses the structure and function module of software of analytic method of sound quality, and selection principles of exploitation environment and Hard- and software philosophies. In the end the dissertation discusses the applications of these methods in the engineering examples, and put forward the concept of sound quality engineering in product life and the frame of sound quality engineering method. All of these have provided a powerful tool for the improvement of the design efficiency and quality of the mechanic-electronics product.
