Repetitive control is a new control method by tracking the periodic input and suppressing the disturbance, and it attracts more and more researchers to study. Based on Internal Modal principle, Repetitive Controller remembers the disturbance occurred in the present period, and compensates it in the next period.This dissertation studies the application and modification of repetitive control theory in CVCF Inverter system. Firstly, it introduces technology of Waveform Control, then the repetitive control strategy is selected to be the object of the research. In order to design the repetitive compensator used in an inverter system, careful analysis of the repetitive controller is performed in the second chapter. Chapter 3 establishes average model and small-signal model, and compares the performances of inverter with conventional PI control and with repetitive control strategy. Chapter 4 presents a modified repetitive control method. Computer simulation and experiments are performed to verify the analysis.A DSP TMS320F240 based controller with the modified repetitive control strategy for a CVCF inverter is built up and good performance is achieved.
