This article emphasizes on the characteristics of a series of Z-source dc-to-dc converters based on principles of Z-source topology.After simulations, this thesis presents various kinds of Z-source dc-to-dc converters derived from the Z-source topology, such as ZDC, ZLC, ZLCHB and so on.In this thesis, the operating principle and superiority of the Z-source DC-DC converter are described firstly and its main circuit design is analyzed in detail. The parameter design for inductors and capacitors of the Z-source network and the main switch is also given. At last the simulation and experimental results have been performed to confirm the theoretical analysis.Open-loop transfunction, control characteristics and compensation methods of Z-Source dc-to-dc converters are analyzed in the thesis. Open-loop transfunction of the traditional boost topology is presented as a comparison. Beside this, the stress of various switching parts is analyzed.
