There have been good achievements in the world in the field of theory and practice of the process of the liquefiable foundation with existing some unclear issues in the fuzzy areas to be reviewed such as the scientific discrimination of the liquefying tendency of the liquefied sand soil stratification, and definition of range of the liquefying processing, the design for filling process by the vibration shock methods, the real time monitoring of the quality of the civil works. This paper aims at starting from discrimination of the liquefying tendency of the liquefied sand soil stratification, by emphasizing on analysis methods of the Bp nervous network model and the modal response of the earthwork body to make comprehensive discrimination the liquefying tendency and the liquefying range of the soil layers of the foundation of the embankment and dikes before and after the completion of the construction so as to provide the scientific basis for the processing range of the liquefiable soil layers of the foundation of the embankment and dikes;on the basis of analysis of the design principle of the liquefying processing of the foundation of the embankment and dikes by vibration shock method and analysis of the parameter calculation, pointing out the existing problems in design and construction operation and the solution for the problems;under the circumstances of the vibration shock process which is half way either in practice or in theory, proposing the energy equivalence principle criteria and providing scientific methodology for its design;and developing the auto monitoring system on the basis of the densification current, suspension time for vibration in the operation by the vibration shock method and the quantity of the filling which are regarded as key points and difficult points, which process has been testified and verified by the operation of the construction.This initiative of this paper lies on the following points:1.Conducting the comprehensive discrimination of the liquefying tendency of the sand soil by using the Bp nervous network model;2. The selection of the filling by vibration shock method should be in conformity with the anti-filtration principle so as to avoid the volume strains during the vibration;3. Proposing and analyzing the energy equivalence principle criteria of the operation by the vibration shock process;4.Design ways of sluice vibration shock;5. Development and application of the auto monitoring system of the vibration shock process.
