Connecting the embedded devices to the network has become a main trend, remote detecting, control ing and management of the embedded systems via network is one important application of the embedded networking technology, especially in the field of industrial envrionment. Based on analyzing and comparing several solutions for embedded networking both at present and in the future, we bring forward one design of Embedded Ethernet-Based Distributed Monitoring Systems for Bearing Noise Detection, which is taking the advantage of network's distributed opennnes and DSP's high speed signal processing ability, the innovative and feasible design of system' s hardware and softeware are described in detail, as well as how it works through embedded industrial Ethernet network to make access to user station and transmit distributed data by XML-Socket. The system' s modules are comprised of data acquisition, singal processing module, network interface and the Graphic User Interface software in the upper user stations. Also in this paper, noise analysis by wavelet transform is used to detect bearing faults. A wavelet algorithm is proposed, which has the ability of feature extraction bearing noise from online fieldwork. The noise characteristics and wavelet transform of the typical bearing noises are described in detail, in order to find the reason and distinguish which kind of bearing noises it is. The method is evaluated by using Matlab simulation and experimental signals, the results show that it's very suitable for the fault diagnosis of bearing. As well as the principles of digital audio are given some description. The result shows that this system can work stably in the industrialenvironment with bearing noise detceting;it's able to fulfil the requirements of real-time data acquisition and distributed detecting. It makes true that the embedded devices in the field of industrial envrionment can be real-time, intelligentized and networked.
