High-speed motorized spindles are part of advanced machining tools, which integrate both high precision and high speed machining performances. There are three kinds of bearings now, such as ball bearings, magnetic force bearings and hydrodynamic-hydrostatic slide bearings. Contrast between the glide bearings and the ball bearings, there are many peculiarities such as high damping, good vibration, high precision circumrotate and long life and so on. Then it is fit to high-speed motorized spindles.We bring forward a new idea of oil-air lubricated hydrodynamic-hydrostatic glide bearings now. It's a new method and be different to any oil-air lubricated before. It can integrate both high stiffness and good lubrication though oil-air lubrication as theory. So it can improve the load capacity, reduce heat and friction. So we can get new bearings integrate both high speed and high stiffness, widen its range of application.According to the theory of oil-air flow, the flow situation was analyzed and a mathematical module of oil-air flow bearing been set up. Secondary development was carried out by relating the methods of finite element analysis about oil-air lubrication with the slide bearing analysis module of Marc, one current FEA software. The properties of oil-air lubricated bearing were solved. Based on the property of oil-air lubricated bearing, the motorized spindle was reduced, and its FEA model was set up. Making use of the beam cell in Marc, the spindle's dynamical performances were calculated. Contrast aerostatic bearing and the hydrodynamic-hydrostatic bearings, virtue , influences and future were analyzed.As the property of oil-air lubricated bearing, a new method of loading was applied in the experimentation. It's a loading method of dynamic and untouched. As of the equipment of "Full Support" aerostatic motorized spindle, the experimentationof oil-air lubricated bearing and its load property was done. The load capacity and dynamic stiffness curves were plotted. Theoretical and experimental results were compared, and some reasons of error were discussed.
