With the development of science and technology,the gas-lubricated bearings come into widely using.In the fields of precision and ultra-precision machining, high speed,food processing, and now more popular micro-motors, the air bearing will have a very wide range of applications. However, the study on the performance of the gas-lubricated bearing evolves and performance testing was very slowly,which greatly restricts the promotion and application of air bearings.Now with the emergence of dedicated analysis software and high-performance computers,they could solve nonlinear equations in bearing design and simulate parameters of the bearing.It provides an effective way.In this paper,the numerical analysis mentioned above and it's experiment methods are particularly presented.First ,In this paper, spherical hydrostatic gas bearing whit one inherent compensation supply hole was an example,establishing model equations.Used the Reynold's gas equation,it was derived,load capacity W, gas mass flow m and stiffness K.It was difference method that solved Reynolds equation calculations,by joining the boundary conditions.Through Matlab programming, solved out of the gas pressure distribution across the membrane.Second, the gas bearing model was builded in GAMBIT,then was simulated by the software of FLUENT,by changing the parameters and gas bearing structure parameters, in the end getting the straightforward bearing performance graphics.They could help designers intuitive understanding of these graphics, enhancing bearing design level.Then by processing the results of software simulation,getting the straightforward bearing performance graphics.By comparing the results of processed data of simulation and numerical solution , got the results that they were very similar ,which showed that we used difference method in solveing gas Reynolds equation correctly .Finallly,using the relative movement theory,I designed a measure air bearing pressure of the membrane around the device and loading device.The structure has some characteristices,such as simple ,high reliability and convenient measurement...
