Hybrid girder cable-stayed bridge is a new direction in modern large span bridges. Based on a cable-stayed bridge with high and low towers and single central cable plane under construction in China, the author optimized the reinforced concrete girder to hybrid girder which was made up of steel and reinforced concrete. A finite element model of whole bridge was created by MIDAS-CIVIL.At first, the author used minimum bending energy method to decide reasonable finished dead state with the target of distribution of cable force, moment of girder and tower, and reaction force in the finished dead state;then adopted the backward analysis-forward iteration method for determining reasonable construction state. The entire construction course was simulated with two case, taking time-dependent effect into account or not, and the time-dependent effect on the performance of structure were analyzed. The structural behaviors under loads of finished state were computed. The loads included dead load, live load, temperature load, wind load, running water pressure and various types of load combinations. Seismic characteristic of structure was studied by the response spectrum analysis. At last, the main factors which influence the stability were researched in the construction course and finished state. Therefore, the author realized the static, dynamic and stable behaviors of hybrid girder cable-stayed bridge, and comprehensively understood the analysing method of the large span cable-stayed bridge.
