| The appearance of university town evinces the functional development of universities as well as the expanding of urban areas. Ever since the 90's, China has been building a great number of university town. How to enable the university town to propel social economic growth, becoming the upgraded engine in optimizing urban industry, has become a crucial issue that the government faces with. This thesis begins with some layout plans of domestic university towns, researches the layout model and layout plans of the new empoldered university towns, by analysising the university towns, home and broad. The layout model construction of university towns takes account of specific characteristics of universities, how universities propel city industries as well as what elements it takes for universities to co-develop with the nearby areas. Regarding the Bougis' concentric circle structure as basic kernel of the university's layout model. Refer to exisiting pattern of the domestic and foreign university town's layout, and development tendency around the university town that brought by the knowledge economy, obtains the circle structure model of the new developed university town layout, according to the urban land utilization rule and the university's attraction to industry. And amending it with city transportation, continuing development, enhancing the operating efficiency of city circulation structure. And the research of layout strategy will apply the increase strategy and the resources sharing strategy to the land utilization plan of the new developed university town, co-develop the university town's layout foundation with the university town's land model.
