With the large power requirement from the power, as well as charge anddischarge quickly during a few seconds, battery's characteristic determines thebattery unfit for the case under low temperature. In order to offer large currentand high power,the battery has to make very large,in this way, the automobileadds the weight and the cost. While the ultracapacitor's specific power is very large,but the specific energy is very small,so the ultracapacitor is unfit for acting aspower supply by itself. The researchment indicats that the hybrid power systemconstituted by the battery and the ultracapacitor has strong impulse performance,and well suited for acting as power source.After the researchment of charge and discharge characteristic of the batteryand the ultracapacitor and the influencing factor as well as the advantages of thebattery and the ultracapacitor, I design the hybrid power system. By means of thesimulation of the hybrid power system's charge and discharge course, Itdemonstrates that the ability of charge and discharge of the system enhancedgreatly under the impulse power requirement, and the ultracapacitor "clipped peakand filled channel "for the battery;According to specific power and specific energyrequirement raised by the PNGV as well as weight and manufacturing cost of thehybrid power system, the author matched the parameters of the hybrid powersystem;According to the result of the match,the author wrote the control strategyof the hybrid power system. It includes power distribution control strategy of thepower system, power distribution dynamical regulation control strategy,the batteryrecharge for the ultracapacitor control strategy,braking energy reclaim controlstrategy,time constant control strategy etc;The another wrote the m file matchedthe original car for Advisor simulation software and made simulation, then drawa conclusion:not only the dynamics performance but also the economicalefficiency of the hybrid electric bus with hybrid power system enhance greatly.And it proved the match result and control strategy in the text.The researchment of the text establishes the foundation for the match form,parameter design as well as the evaluating indicator, model foundation, controlstrategy's establishment of the hybrid power system. The principle, conclusion andcontrol strategy in the text need further research and perfect by some experiment.
