| Due to quick development of automobile industry and fierce internationalcompetition, high quality, high efficiency, low cost and low power consumption inmanufacture process have become the only way to improve product competition. Itis hard to meet this market demand using outdated machining technique. Therevolution of manufacture technology has becomes necessary. Many new techniquethat breaks the routine way with novel concept, economic operation and low costhave appeared.Connecting rod splitting machining is a great revolution of traditionalconnecting rod manufacture technology. Considering present status of overseasconnecting rod splitting machining equipment and domestic situation, our projectteam have developed a connecting rod splitting machining equipment that consistsof mechanical system, hydraulic pressure system, electric and computer controlsystem independently.The splitting force and splitting speed are two key parameters in connectingrod splitting technique. Owing to importance of the two parameters, we expect todevelop a measurement system to watch them. So we can see splitting parameterand their dynamic curves directly. Splitting parameter data could be recorded anddetailed data files of machining process could be build for analyze. The operatorcan monitor the machining parameter in time and adjust them to get the bestsplitting parameter. They also can evaluate the stability of the splitting process.This research of this paper includes the data collection and processing systemdesign, software development of the data collection and processing system and theKalman filtering of the collected signal.1. Data collection and processing system designData collection card used here is the multi-function data collection cardPCL818HG made by Yanhua Company . A/D transform is triggered by in-boardtimer . An interrupt signal is sent to the bus after A/D transform is finished. And thetransformed data is stored. The data in register is read in with reply to interruptsignal. The whole hardware system is constituted as following , pressure transducerof main oil jar CS20FBGIIIERM3Lm(4m), pressure transducer of back oil jarCS20FBGIIIERM3Lm(4m), displacement transducer of main oil jar TWZ — 70,multi-function data collection card PCL818HG, a computer and a printer.2. Software development of the data collection and processing systemThe software system which includes data-collect module, data processingmodule, data storage module, man-machine interaction module (interface),hardware drive module(virtual equipment drive program VXD and data read-writemodule) is written with a module structure. The data collecting module, processingmodule and man-machine interaction module is built with VC++6.0 in thewindows 2000 operating system. The low layer interface is built with virtualequipment drive program development software package VtoolsD that is made byVireo Software company and VC++6.0. Data collection card and printer interfaceis controlled by the virtual equipment drive program to read and write data. We useVC++6.0 and Access to make data storage and modification with ODBCprogramming. Access database is managed by C++ programme.3. Kalman filtering of collected signalThe noise in the data collection process is wiped off by the Kalman filter .Kalman filter is built in personal computer with a through research on Kalmanfiltering. The experiment has prove that Kalman filtering has a sound ability ofwiping off noise interrupt. Kalman filtering outperformed Butterworth band-passfilter. Kalman filtering is also helpful in the connecting rod splitting detectionsystem developed in this research. |
