As the key element of the thermostatic valve the temperature sensing element plays the role of temperature sensing and force outputting.By absorbing the heat of the working fluid,the temperature sensing medium produces the capacity expansion which moves the regulating sleeve to control the fluid flow of input to control the temperature.To design a rational thermostatic valve,the important and difficult point is the design of the temperature sensing element.The problem includes:How to change the capacity expansion to be the displacement of the regulating sleeve.The structure and working principle of the temperature sensing element are analysed and calculated in this paper .the solid-liquid phase changed temperature sensing element is dicussed carefully.The thermal inertia is the important element of the responsing time of the thermostatic valve.Modeling the heat transfer of the temperature sensing element is method of the analysis of the element in this paper.By combining the regulating spring the temperature sensing element output the force and displacement .The coefficient of the regulating spring effects the the coefficient of the valve.The anylysis and design of the regulating springs is intrduced in this paper.The coefficient of the thermostatic valve is to be tested by the experiment .Many experiments were done in this paper.This paper presents a model of a thermostatic valve and where the hysteresis effect is modeled using adaptive model for friction compensation.
