In the process industry, the industrial kiln is a important device, which is broadly used in architecture and material, metallurgy, chemic industry fields etc. The quality and efficiency of kiln directly effects the quality of product, the comsuption of energe and pollution of our environment and so on. At present, the industrial kiln in our country shows high consumption of energe and low efficiency of heat conversion, one of the main reasons is the old measure methods and disadvantage control thechnology. For example, "wacth flame directly by workman" of industrial kiln, long temperature response used thermocouple, delay of temperature measure etc, which are more or less prevent the development of the process industry.In this paper, it analyzes the shortage of the temperature control in the current process industry, uses the high efficiency digital signal processor(DSP) and micro-controller(ARM), combine the digital image processing technology, structures the supervise and control system of the kiln' s temperature field. The system refers to some theories and achievements about boiler' s flame research, using image processing technology in the "watch flame" and temperature measure, can solve the above problem.The development of this system include hardware design, programming the control software and researching control algorithm. This paper emphasis on illumilating the hardware design parts. The main works are shown as follow: First, the feasibility that measure temperature using the flame image in industry kilns is demonstrated. Second, A scheme of image collecting and processing based DSP and ARM is designed. The corresponding hardware, circuit elements chart and the substrate software module are proposed. Third, the embeded operation system added into chip, the design of Graphic User Interface (GUI) and the communication meathods with the upper computer are given and so on.At the end of this paper, it makes a summary and provides some futher advice to this system.
