Pipeline transportation is an essential part in integrative transportation system, which has merits of safety, stabilization, credibility in operation, etc. In the practical application, the way of dredged soil transportation is realized via waterpower transportation, namely ferry the mud by pipeline transportation. The basic condition of flow transportation is based on certain sustaining pressure of the flow in the pipeline. As for the dredger, the slurry is transported by solid-liquid two-phase flows which consist of sand and water. It possesses characteristics as follows: short transportation distance, high energy consumption and serious pipeline abrasion, especially it can not be used in some projects if the transport distance is not far enough. In order to lengthen the transport distance, the traditional method is to add a middle relay pumping station, but its investment cost is large, and the adjustment is inconvenient. How to improve the slurry transport efficiency and reduce the energy consumption has become an important problem. With the development of the pipeline transportation technology and the study of the multiphase flow pipeline transportation, there is a new solution on improving slurry transportation efficiency and transportation with long distance, which uses air-ejecting to help transportation.We need to experiment for many times to make it clear the appropriate parameters of air-ejecting. So the design of feasible apparatus and the experiments of slurry pipeline transportation based on it have important meaning. The paper, which begins with the principles of reduction friction and extent of transportation distance by air-ejecting, discusses the feasibility of air-ejecting to help transport. We have designed the multiphase flow apparatus; it consists of air-ejecting apparatus and the middle relay pump apparatus. The air-ejecting apparatus mainly make the experiment of lengthening transport distance by air-ejecting. The middle relay pump apparatus mainly make the comparative experiment with air-ejecting to help transport. We arrange the testing scheme according to the orthogonal principles, and then we can use the least investment to accomplish the idealized experiential result in time. This paper introduces the measurement and control system of the apparatus in detail. Indata acquisition system, from the sensor, intelligence instrument, on-the-spot bus to the design of program, all components has been explained clearly. In control system, we mainly discuss the programmable logic controller, frequency converter and network communication technology, and explained the debug process of measurement and control system. Finally, according to the certain process of experimental data, we develop the special data processing procedure on the Visual C++6.0 platform, which greatly alleviate the data processing personnel's labor intensity.
