This thesis discussed the design method and related technology of general cross section and railway-use land & subgrade drainage.Railway general road bed cross section design work load to be very much heavy , use the aided designing technique of the computer, can save a large number of manpower, improve design efficiency. This system used designed data such as rail plane and vertical section information as base data, come to a normal cross section model which can meet all kinds of standards, construct cross section entities in CAD system directly which can be modifid by CAD normal property window, system also offer design tools for cross section modify and auxiliary lines design, what's more, a new method applied to area calculation and update accordingly is offered. The process of subgrade drainage and railway-use land design is related with cross section design directly. In this process, in order to keep railway information integrated in electricity drawing, fold plane electricity drawing in paper space and compartmentalize railway regions was realized in this system. So system can implement design drainage and railway-use land in electricity drawing directly by cross section products. At the end of the thesis, there is a vivid example provided, which proved veracity, stable in operation and easy in conduction of this system. This system is developed under the operation system named Wind ows NT 5.0. Its developing flat roof is Visual C++ 6.0, now one of the most perfect developing flat roofs based on Windows. Its gragh-supported environment is AutoCAD 2002, a CAD system composed of pioting and developing. The programming language is ObjectARX 2000, the most powerful one used for secondary development in the development tools of AutoCAD 2000.
