At present, the undertaking of the water resource enters the high-speed developing period of new turn, with the construction of large-scale engineering of The Three Gorges hydro-power station etc. and blossoming of the rural hydro-power stations, it make's great contribution to the energy shortage of energy in our country. Meanwhile, people pay much more attention to the economic operation of hydro-generator unit. The experimentation of hydro- turbine efficiency is one of the foundations in the economic operation of hydro-generator unit. So, how to realize the experimentation of hydro-turbine prototype efficiency seems increasingly important.The virtual instrument results of technology combined with the technology of the computer and modern measuring deeply, this text explains hydro-turbine efficiency experiment system base on virtual instrument, it can complete hydro-turbine efficiency experiment with data acquisition, data processing and showing, result analyzing in real time at the locale automatically, it provide a very good platform for the hydro-turbine efficiency experiment. This system can be suitable for all kinds of hydro-generator units in the hydro-power station with characteristic of high precision in data acquisition , friendly interface between operator and turbine and steady operation.Base on explaining principle and method of the hydro-turbine efficiency experiment in detail for defining the whole course of experiment, this text selects virtual instrument development environment LabWindows based on virtual instrument to write the upper-computer software. Include the structure of the system's soft ware and function of every module and realization mainly, how about to make use of LabWindows to realize the result to export, and communicating with the bottom-machine.This text explains design and development of bottom-machie in detail combined with the locale fact in hydro-power station, as well. The bottom-machie namely data acquisition for the hydro-turbine efficiency experiment is used to acquire the locale data for the hydro-turbine efficiency experiment, it divide into two parts according tothe main different in the locale data signal, adopt pairs of CPU structure, each CPU completes different data acquisition and pass them to the upper-computer through serial interface. It has characteristic of compact hardware structure, well anti-interference, high precision for acquisition.The development of this system impulse positively utilizing water resource fully, raising the efficiency in hydro-power station, realizing the hydro-generator unit and whole economical operation of electric.
