CSG dam is a kind of new dam type that between traditional earth-rockfill dam and concrete gravity dam. Its advantage in essence lies in structure's degree of safety and stability are high, construction is quick and economy, the negative effect on the environment is small. Abroad, especially Japan, this dam type has already been caused and paid close attention to and been used in the actual project, have made better result. It may become a kind of trend and develop rapidly within the past 10 years. The construction and popularization of CSG dam will be far-reaching for development of the water conservancy and power of our country .CSG material is similar to roll compacted concrete in mechanical property.it can be said one relax require to exceeding lean roll compacted concrete. So we adopt the design theory of rolling the concrete gravity dam, use large-scale software ANSYS of finite element in common use as the main computational tool, the CSG dam's working state, Stress-strain distribution pattern, whole degree of safety are researched systemically by fictitious dam body models to different dam slope situations.This text collects the relevant materials about CSG dam both at home and abroad at first, study its theory and practice achievement, have studied the mechanical property of CSG material. Then analysis the static & dynamic characteristics of CSG dam by adopting ANSYS software, and has made comparisons to the working state of 10 kinds of CSG dam schemes. Through intensity and stability checking computations, summarize from upstream to downstream dam slope change to dam body influence of working state, have proved the problem of how to choose of body section of the dam under the condition of controlling intensity and stability,have drawn the conclusion with real significance. Finally select one excellent section for use, study different modulus of elasticity of dam body material and foundation to dam body influence of working state, under homogeneous foundation.At last, the main work and conclusions of this paper are summarized, while some problems and some aspects that should be further researched are put forward.
