Vortex Blower is the exclusive pressure device used for sending or taking out airflow. The internal flow field generally presents three-dimensional turbulent characteristic because of its complicated flow passage. There are lots of obvious separated flow and eddy inside it, which are very difficult to analyze with former theory. The existing design methods also mainly adopt some empirical formulas gained from experimental result. In this thesis, we simulate and analyze the inner flow field of vortex blower with a commercial CFD software—Fluent. Some instructive results are given, which are helpful for customer's design and have obvious applied value. In this thesis, we introduce the characteristics and functions of the vortex blower, and discuss the basic internal flow mechanism. The k ?εstandard turbulent model, standard Wall Function, SIMPLE method are adopted in this numerical simulation, and the Turbulence Kinetic Energy, Turbulence Dissipation Rate, Momentum Equation adopt First Order Upwind difference scheme for discreteness. Aim at the author product of research, we carry on the simplification of the internal flow field (pretreatment), and simulate the inner flow field of vortex blower with closing impeller, and then show the inner flow for main flow region and clearance's region. We confirm firstly the existence of lengthways and radial eddy, verify the accuracy of the former eddy theories hypothesis, and disclose the flow characteristics of the vortex blower. We discuss thoroughly the influence of various parameters to the blower's performance, firstly systemic discuss the variation of internal flow with the variation of blade's shape, diameter ratio of impeller, clapboard's shape, configuration of import and export tube, size of clearance, etc. By analyzing of inner flow and export tube's tiny view flow, some measures are put forward for the improvement of the flow and finally come to an anticipative result. A great deal of result of the numerical simulation is according well with other papers, which indicate the successful simulation for the vortex blower. For saving time for building up vortex blower's model, author develops a parameterized database software, with which the impeller model and the three dimensional inner flow model are realized successfully. Designer can complete the structure's design through this software quickly, gain the standard binary system document of impeller's model for ANSYS software and inner flow's model document for GAMBIT software of CFD pretreatment-soft, and carry on the valid management for the born documents.
