With the development of domestic economy, curved beam bridge has been increasingly used in practice. However, national software for curved beam bridge analysis lags behind actually in the project practice. How to develop a set of CAD software to match the actuality is an all new but important issue. By utilizing the Microsoft newest software development kit VB.Net language and integrating many kinds of computer technologies, a curved beam bridge design software has been developed in this thesis.Based on the curved-bar grillage method, the CAD software was developed, running on the platform of Windows operating system. Numerical samples have been provided to verify the accuracy of the software. The features of curved beam bridge and its grillage dividing method have been studied and problems in analysis have been pointed out.Curved beam bridge theory and girder method have been studied. Element stiffness matrix, equivalent nodal forces formula and element coordinate transformation matrix have been deduced. Principle of girder dividing and numbering has been analyzed. Feature of bridge abutment has been studied too.Computing core program has been developed. Matrix condensing algorithm and solution of large-scale linear equations have been studied.Generation and transformation of 3D-graph have been achieved through computer graph principle and GDI+. Users can scale, rotate, and move these 3D-graphs. Users can check on data that is correct or not too. At last, system will produce girder graphs and displacement graphs.Project database has been created by the means of database controls. Database promotes the management of data, reduces the redundancy of data and increases the efficiency.Mouse capture algorithm, bungee algorithm and absorption algorithm on interactive mode have been studied. It can extend the interactive ability of software system.The system consists of pre-processing module, structure analysis module and post-processing module. This thesis introduces the design of each module and data files and the flowcharts of program, as well as operation guide of the software.
