Power quality monitoring is the essential way to know power quality, and is theprecondition to improve power quality. With the goal to develop a moveable powerquality monitor, the paper discusses the means to reduce spectrum leakage in embeddedsystem and cognizes the spectrum overlap laws through many of emulational analysiswith MATLAB. According to the flicker monitoring process recommended by IEC, thepaper takes measures avoid mass data storage and realize the flicker monitoring processin embedded system. Printed circuit board has been designed which is mainly composedby float-point DSP (digital signal processor) TMS320VC33 and point DSPTMS320LF2407. All process procedures in two DSP have been programmed with Clanguage. In this article, it is particularly introduced about the design of hardware andsoftware. All the work established the realization of the monitor.
