This paper mades detailed statistics on the relevant main transformer, feeder powerquality data of Shenzhen Universiade, including voltage sags, voltage flicker, unbalance,voltage harmonics and current harmonics. At the same time, this paper analysed the powerquality situation of the Shenzhen Universiade according to the data which was collected fromthe major load of the sports centres,andsummarized a variety of power quality characteristicsof a typical load, and the impact on the grid.Shenzhen Universiade will be held in August2011, which is a major event inShenzhen.To ensure the smooth progress of the Universiade is of great significance inShenzhen’s long-term development. There are a lot of examples prove that sports events maybe disturbed and even be interrupt by terrible qower quality.As the extensive use of therectifier, inverter and other non-linear components, these nonlinear components will cause agreat disturbance to power quality. Improving power quality of sports venues and providinghigh quality power supply to the variouselectrical equipment of sports venueswhich is the keyto ensure the success of sporting events.In this paper, the power quality data which was collected from the measurement points ofmaid load of sports venues was analyzed.It could be modeled for future research. Meanwhile,corresponding corrective measures were also given according to the power quality problemsfound in the process of measurement which could be refered for relevant departments.
