Fabric structures, appearing in the1950's with great development potentialities, have brought new vitality and energy to space structures with its extremely light deadweight, concise and stretched appearance, and moderate light permeating. However, the research of fabric structures in China started a little late. There are still some disparities comparing with the advanced standard in the world. The main contents of this report are listed as below: 1.1 Cabel membrane structures are mostly supported by space steel structures, but conventional analysis is separated by two assemblage: supporting structures and cable membrane parts. Recommended a new method of form-finding with integrated analysis. So this method replaced the old method which enlarge the supporting parts' stiffness for security. 1.2 In the course of load analysis, the location of the check points of seeper which is because the effect of the rain or snow load is selected by the designer according to their own experience. In this article these points of the saddle shade pavilion structure are calculated exactly. So it give the guide for projects, and the advantage for checking. 1.3 Studied the capacity of the fabric structure under the effect of the centralized stress. Studied the relationship between the magnitude of the prestress and the Carrying capacity of the structures under the effect of the centralized stress. 1.4 The stress of the fabric structure would be centralized around the hole if the structure work with gap. But the gap could not expand if the stress within a certain value, and if the value is big enough, it will began to expand from the hole; analyze the different capacity of the structure between the structure with hole and without hole; and find the expanding direction of the hole under load, and recommend that how to cutting to make the structure optimize; the different position of the holes have different effects to the structure, this article find the most risky position of the hole, give reference for designning and construction.
