The Application Of The New Image Compression Standard-JPEG2000'S Realizing In Packaging Decoration Fields

With the rapid development of computer technology, modern communication technology, microelectronics technology, networks and information treatment technology, the storage and transmission of packaging decoration become more and more important in packaging and printing fields. The part of image dealing has become networked in many packaging and printing enterprises. And as everyone knows, the datum of an image is enormous, so people can realize it from software respect in packaging decoration dealing fields in order to use limited space and bandwidth resources. This essay is mainly concerned with the demonstration and analysis about the new image compression standard—JPEG2000. JPEG2000, a newly-modified standard, aims at better function of the image compression processing. With the aid of diverse coding technologies whose core is the wavelet transform in stead of the block coding style based on diverse cosine transform which is employed by JPEG, JPEG2000 is the final-product of superior coding processing over the former ones in low bandwidth and high noise environments.In this paper, we expand on the theorem and the implement process of the JPEG2000 image coding system, describe the basic algorithm and key technology in it, introduce the new standard's feature and application area, and on the base of the JPEG2000 compression standard we develop a software which can implement the compression of image in packaging decoration dealing fields by using Visual C++, and the compression image can be identified by ACDSEE 7.0, and analyze its function. As a conclusion, we testified that the JPEG2000 is more suitable and superior to the JPEG in image compression performance when applied in packaging decoration dealing fields, and have some directory and real meanings for decoration dealing in packaging and printing fields.
