| Achieves & Exhibition Hall of Pudong New District in Shanghai which is under construction is a large-scale steel-concrete composite structure. The composite slab of the second floor is supported with full scaffold. In this paper, the mechanical behavior and the serviceability of composite structures are assessed by recording the change of the strain during removing of scaffold after casting with strain gauges and data acquisition devices.Based on the results of the site monitoring, a finite element model for the composite floor system is created to simulate the process of the scaffold removing using ANSYS. With the help of this model, the disadvantages of the original scaffold removing plan can be figured out according to the changes of the structural strains. By numerical simulated scaffold removing process and theoretical analysis, a new partly simultaneous scaffold removing plan is proposed.Research achievements presented in this paper is based on the site monitoring of Archives & Exhibition Halls of Pudong New District in Shanghai during construction. The study results may serve as references for similar engineering projects. |
