Study Of Key Technologies On Ultrasonic Phased Array Testing System

Ultrasonic phased array technology has been widely used in medical and industrialultrasonic inspection systems. Because the ultrasonic beam is accomplished bysumming multiple ultrasonic impulse signals at all array elements with proper delaycompensations corresponding to the propagation time delays, the focusing anddeflection can be achieved flexibly according to the requirements. As a result, therecan be kinds of scanning modes and the sensitivity of ultrasonic testing systems canbe greatly improved. Ultrasonic phased array technology has remarkable advantagesin inspection speed, quantitative analysis of disfigurement, reducing working intensity,and so on. It has be the trend of development. This thesis studies the key technologieson ultrasonic phased array testing system based on the theory of ultrasonic phasedarray.The following are main achievements of this thesis:●According to the theory of ultrasonic phased array, we designed the ultrasonicphased array testing system, which is master-slave mode and the slave is Cygnal.●designed a four-channel data acquisition card for ultrasonic phased array testingsystemⅠdesigned the USB interface circuitⅡdesigned the quadruple transmitting and receiving circuit The transmitting andreceiving of ultrasonic wave is the basic function of phased array testing system inwhich the composition and focusing of ultrasonic wave is realized by the delay of thearray transmitting. The receiving part uses programmable variable-gain controlmethod. data acquisition system adopts a dual channel high speed A/D converter withthe sampling frequency of 100MHz.Ⅲ Designed the digital signal processing module based on FPGA, controlling thedelay time of arrays accurately●designed the phased array testing system that can auto control every channel'ssensitivity and self-generate. DAC curve●Programmed the whole software of ultrasonic phased array testing system,including human-machine interactive interface, the echo pulse's wave display,standard DAC curve's fitting and the USB communication.
