In the last 20 years since reform and opening, the Chinese civil constructionsector has made rapid progress. However, the 20-year's construction anddevelopment has made the availability of construction-use land become increasinglytight , and most of the structure are constrained in the conventional limit of lifetime. This background urges to come up ideal solution of structure raising,reformation and reinforcement which can improve living condition, save constructionland and investment. Recently, there have been quite a few projects have beendone to make structure raising, reformation and reinforcement to the currentstructure;as the same time, more and more new process, technique, material andtheory have been applied in practice. This paper takes the structure raising and reformation of Jinyuan Electric PowerMansion as example to state the design and construction idea, in which combinedwriter's experience in engineering practice. This paper elaborates the specificprocess of structure raising and reformation engineering. In the feasibility study, afew new creative thinking and proposal have been raised up for structure raising andreinforcement. At the same time, the particular application method andimplementation procedure of new technique and process are summarized in thedemonstration of construction process and proposal. Detail description has beendone as well for the reinforcement technique and joint of new and old structure. Atthe end of the paper, the writer has concluded the important significance ofreinforcement to the structure reformation , the key point of the entitled structureraising and reformation and the general method of structure raising and reformation. This paper states the research content through a specific project whichintegrates theory and practice. It's hoped that it can be use as reference forengineering personal or other professional people.
