It is a new technique to apply Carbon Fiber Reinforced Polymer strengtheningconcrete structure recently appearing in construction field. But in seaport engineering, the study on CFRP nearly is blank. This thesis analyses whether or not the bearingcapacity of whaf the reinforced concrete beam strengthened with carbon fiber sheet isincreased. Accordingly this new technique is impeled to apply in seaport engineering. With the particular excellent performances and predominances, prevention ofcorrosion and reinforcement, Carbon Fiber Sheet has the tremendous value ofapplication and the extensive prospect. At present, the studys on CFRP limit to the reinforced concrete beam inside andoutside. The prestressed concrete beam is differing from the reinforced concrete beamat the facets of the material capability, the stress condition, and the materialsinteractivity and so on. So the study is an important question for discussion on thestress mechanism of the reinforced concrete beam. This thesis adopts the contrast tests on 18 beams, the reinforced concrete beamsand the prestressed concrete beams. Based on the actual measurement datas of theload~strain and load~flexivity curves, the thesis discusses and analyses the testbeams's the stress mechanism, the destruction course and modality, the effect, theinfluencing factor, the strengthening measure and the design calculation method. The study indicates that at the different stages, the carbon fiber sheet availablystrengthens the beam's rigidity, restrains the development of the crack, and increasesthe bearing capacity of the head-on cross-section. And the design formulas these arededuced on the different destruction modalities provide the test gist to apply the CFRPtechnique in seaport engineering.
