Piston wind is the very important effect factor to the metro environment. With therapid development of metro, added train number and speed improvement, theinfluence of piston wind on the metro thermal environment and airflow field is moreand more evident. The exact grasp of the regularity of piston wind and the reasonablecontrol to piston wind become the focus of metro environment control design.In order to learn through study the influence of piston wind on the metroenvironment so as to control it and improve the environmental quality, a field test inBeijing underground railway system is conducted when a train start, accelerate, movein constant speed, decelerate and halt. Summarizes the regularity of variations ofpiston wind in tunnel and variations of velocity in station corridors.Based on the Aerodynamics and field measurements, simulates velocity field ofmetro piston wind by use of CFD and find out the reasonable solutions and theappropriate control proposals to the problem. The conclusions will help in thepractices of related engineering designers and numerical simulation technicians.
