Application Research Of Barometric Brake System On Light Truck

The brake performance is one of the most important safe performances for theautomobile. With the increase of running speed of the vehicle, the requirements to thebrake performance are getting more and more strict.Besides the good brakeperformance, the brake system of the automobile is required to reduce the pedal forceof the driver. Therefore, the power servo brake system has made a great developmentin the automobile.The barometric brake system is the most familiar power servo brake system. It iscommonly used in the medium-duty truck and heavy truck. To meet the requirementsof the market, more and more light trucks equip the barometric brake system. In thispaper, the application of the barometric brake system in two types of light trucks hasbeen researched through the theoretical and experimental methods. The matchingmethods have been put forward and the effect factors have been discussed. Theproblems of the brake performance on the two types of light trucks using thebarometric brake system are solved. The testing results show that the improvementgets to a good result.
