The grouting technology has been applied extensively to the civil engineering nowadays, especially to the fields of water conservancy projects,electric power projects,the sloping border renovations, shutting floods for the dam and portengineering. It has been a measure, which is quite effective and indispensable. This measure can bring the natural disaster under control and prevent them. Since the 20th century because the new grouting techniques are constantly emerging, as well as all kinds of the new types of materials, the method of grouting has made great progress and been applied to the projects effectively.By using clay, bentonite,cement, fly ash, colliery powder addition agent as raw materials in this paper,the performance of common material for grouting were studied to solve practical problems of common slurry and find the reasonable dispensation formula meeting requirements of different projects.Based on analyzing and determining basic characteristics of every raw material,the dispensation tests had been performed about clay paste, clay — cement paste, solidification clay paste, cementitious paste, fly ash cement paste and colliery powder paste, and their performance figures were tested systematically and obtained perfectly so that a reasonable dispensation formula was get to be used in filling project.
