In this paper, the control system of marine boiler is studied. Because of the nonlinear nature of boilers with instable parameter and difficulties of building accurate math model,I combined fuzzy control theory and neural networks theory, and proposed an adaptive controller built with compensatory fuzzy neural networks to control marine boiler . Through the introduction of compensatory fuzzy inference and quick arithmetic, the capabilities of compensatory fuzzy neural networks is superior to that of common fuzzy neutral networks.The accurate models of boiler drum water system and steam pressure controlled system were established in accord with the theory of marine boiler.Then the basic principles, characteristics and the mechanism of fuzzy neural networks theory are illuminated. Based on the simulation, the structure of network is illustrated and compared with conventional PID. The simulation results show that the compensatory fuzzy neural networks controller has very good robustness and adaptive ability. More over the method can be used at a high learning rate, which makes it qualified to be used for learning online. The simulation results demonstrate the effectiveness and feasibility of the integrated intelligent control algorithm presented in the thesis.
