This thesis is based upon a funded research program of Shaanxi Province, the Shaanxi Province culture industry information development research, and it is a further project.As an important part of culture industry, tourism develops swiftly in recent years. So establishing tourism information system has extremely vital significance. The traffic navigation system is a kind of useful tool. But the present GIS system can only satisfy some people's need without taking the real demand of common tourists into consideration. While studying tourists' psychological characteristic and behavior pattern, this research proposes to combine the cognitive map with the GIS system and creates a new transportation navigating system.This paper analyses the human-computer interacting characteristics and interface visual elements based on map design theory, GIS, traditional software and Kiosk system. In the process of the research of transportation navigating system, we summarized the principle of Kiosk system of Human-Computer Interactive. This research established the interactive framework and users' interface of Xi'an cultural sight spots transportation navigating system. The software has been designed to achieve the up most usability and practicability after evaluation and experiment. After the on-the-spot experiment and testing, the system is proved to be capable of satisfying tourists' transportation navigating requirements and the interactive interface complies with the UCD principle.
