As a new-type composite building material for pavement, layered hybrid fiber reinforced concrete (LHFRC) attracts some eyes increasingly in the field of civil engineering because it can possesses itself of better mechanical property, more simple and convenient construction procedure, more remarkable economic benefit than plain concrete by casting uniformly some steel fibers on two positions from the top and the bottom about 20mm. So in the paper, the testing study on flexural performance of layered hybrid fiber reinforced concrete has been done.Firstly, with a test on 12 specimens, the best steel fiber, which is best propitious to improve the flexural performance of fiber reinforced concrete, has been chosen out by the means of testing study on the static bending performance of layered fiber reinforced concrete (LFRC) reinforced by three types of steel fiber.Secondly, by the standard testing methods for 45 test specimens, the flexural performance, including flexural strength, flexural ductility and flexural Young's modulus, have been analyzed systematically on LFRCs reinforced by polyacrylonitrile fibers totally, cast with steel fibers on the top or not, and strengthened by high-strength plain concrete respectively. Based on the testing results, ultimate flexural strength and flexural Young's modulus have been studied. And at the same time, with the curves of displacement-load, the flexural ductility is estimated for them by the method of American Society of Testing Materials C1018.Lastly, theoretically, the mechanics, including failure character when bend, crack resistance of steel fibers, and deformability, of reinforcement and ductility of LHFRC has been studied preliminarily.
