The use of turbocharger improved the quality of diesel engine greatly. The increasing of inflow of the cylinder by charging can not only increase fuel feed to improve diesel engine's power, but also make the fuel ejected in cylinder burn fully, and reduce the fuel consumption rate, raise the diesel engine's economy. With the development of charging technology to high pressure ratio, in order to improve the matching characteristic of charger and diesel engine and raise diesel engine's mean effective pressure, much experimental investigation will be done. So a measurement and analysis system of turbocharger, which is reliable, convenient and accurate, is very important.This paper mainly introduces the development of measurement and analysis system for the turbocharger and relative experimental investigation. The specific contents as follows:1. According to the domestic and foreign references, this paper analyzes the development of charging technology, expatiates on the importance of turbo-charging technology to improve engine's power and economy and the object and engineering importance of this subject.2. This paper analyzes the structure, main performance figure operating principle of exhaust gas turbocharger system, and studying of matching characteristic of turbocharger and diesel engine.3. The measuring and analyzing system for turbocharger system based on Lab VIEW is developed.4. By the aid of tests, the system's reliability and correctness was verified. Based on the system, we studied the turbocharger system's performance and its matching characteristic with the diesel engine when the diesel engine is used for electric generation or propulsion, and when the charging mode is different.This paper comes to the following conclusions as result of the experiment.1. The structure of the measuring and analyzing system for turbo-charge system is advisable. The arrangement of sensors and the choice of sensors and acquisition cards are advisable. The reliability and accuracy of the measuring system can reach technical requirement. The software system, which is developed on virtual instrument, can analyze and process the signal parameter, and realize the function of parameter acquisition, analyzing, data storage, report generation and displaying.2. The match of 6L16/24 diesel engine and NR12/RS02 turbocharger is adapt to the load characteristic of diesel engine. After the constant-pressure turbocharger was changed to the MPC, the comparison test of working performance of turbo-charger and matching characteristic of turbocharger and diesel engine was done. As a result of the experiment, the constant-pressure turbocharger is better than the MPC.
