For the current situation of the greater steam loss to the steam turbine of power plant, thenecessity was discussed in this paper which the steam turbine adopts top blade steam seal. Forimproving the design idea of elastic tooth seal, the thermodynamics modeling of the steamleakage and loss were set up. It analyzed the elastic tooth characteristic with the methods ofmathematics, thermodynamics, mechanics of materials , metal material ,etc. given an analysison the elastic tooth seal's touching and rubbing ,explored it's effection on stability of turbineby rotor dynamics theory;Carried on a wearability experiment to the elastic tooth seal, Thepurpose is that carried a previous theoretical and experiment research on this new seal.
