A series of power system blackouts all over the world are mostly related to the reasonlessnetwork structure,for the power system's stability is destroyed by casual faults.In thispaper,we will base our research on the PSASP 6.21(power system analysis softwarepackage),we roundly analyse and compute the security and stability level of Gansu electricnetwork of the Year 2006.With resisting the lines' N-2 fault for the main target,we also takethe lose of power source and the fault of transformer in large-sized substation … intoconsideration.We constitute the configuration scheme for Automation devices under differentfault modes and put forward the The security and defense system of Gansu power gid.Wefinally constitute an off-line and quantitative analysis method to evaluate the transmissionnetwork's security and defense level,it is based on Reliability evaluation theory with powerflow and transient stability computation.Off-line computation and local control are anavailable scheme to construct the security and defense system of transmission networkcurrently.
