Whereas the convenience, high efficiency and economy of the chemicalpesticide control method, great deals of pesticides are used to control theharmful life-form in agricultural production. In our country, pesticides arewidely use. There are 150 to 160 categories of commonly used pesticides andthe dosage is 80 to 100 tons. A very small amount of pesticide will remain inthe crops. Eating the foods with residue pesticides for a long time will seriouslyaffect human's health, and even may bring the potential harm to thedescendants. Hence, it becomes extraordinarily important to detect the pesticideresidue and its metabolite with high sensitivity. At present, the commonly used pesticide residue analysis methods havethe disadvantages of fussy pre-treatment process, reagent consumption andtaking time etc. Compared with them, fluorescence analysis method has anadvantage of high sensitivity, strong selectivity and simpleness. It shows uniquesuperiority in environmental detecting field. In this paper, the fundamental wasdone on utilizing the fluorescence spectrum detecting technology andoptical-fiber sensor technology to directly detect residue pesticide invegetables. The fundamental principle of fluorescence analysis method and thefluorescence characteristic of some commonly used pesticides are discussed inthis paper. Several typical pesticides' fluorescence spectrums were gained bythe experiment. The optical system for fluorescence exciting, collecting and transporting isdesigned on the basis of the fluorescence characteristic of pesticides.Pulsed-xenon lamp is adopted as the exciting light. CCD received the weakfluorescence signals. The corresponding low-pass filter and amplifying circuitswere also designed. Data acquisition circuit, whose core is the singlechip, achieved the signal collection and conversion. And the fluorescence spectra ofmeasured pesticides will be finally gained.A new type of swarm intelligence mimic algorithm, ant colony algorithm, was introduced at the end. It is achieved by connecting ant colony algorithmwith the derivative fluorescence spectrum to mensurate the concentration ofeach component in the solution of pesticide simultaneously.
