Piezoelectric intelligent structures have been widely applied in aerospace engineering. However, the random response analysis of these structures under random excitation is still to be further study for the huge amount of computational efforts. In the present paper, stationary/non-stationary random response of piezoelectric intelligent structures is carried out. The dynamic equation of motion based on virtual work principle is first presented. Followed the pseudo excitation method is developed for the stationary/non-stationary random analysis of piezoelectric intelligent structures. All cross-correlation terms between normal modes in a structural response, and those between excitations can be retained naturally in this method. It is an accurate solution theoretically. Two examples: a 15-bar plane truss and a 25-bar space truss subjected to widely banded stationary/non-stationary random excitations are presented. It is shown that the suggest method has high reliability and efficiency.One important use of piezoelectric intelligent structures is how to complete the response initiative control of structure vibration, the truss structure's response control is a impotant part of it. This article uses LQG control method try to researche the responses of piezoelectric intelligent structures, which is under a random excitation. In combination with the pseudo excitation method (PEM), precise integration schemes were applied to the analysis of structural stationary random responses and the solution of the differential Riccati equations,the article presents the closed form solution of LQG problem, achieved the initiative control. As a result, efficiency and veracity are improved. In the end, the article provide the example program code by this method, proved that this method is very concise and easy for readers to understand.
