| Wave simulation is the subject in the coastal and offshore engineering field which always interested people, so deeply research on this subject have been made and many noticeable achievements have been obtained. Recent years, people have simulated unidirectional and multidirectional irregular waves with the targeted wave parameters successfully in the water tank and water basin, which are the important means for wave simulation. As the effects of wave groupiness on the action between waves and the structures, theories and technologies on wave group simulation were gradually attached more importance, then, scholars have proposed lots of methods of the simulation, which have been limited to unidirectional waves. In fact, the ocean waves are irregular and multi-directional, so the research on multi-directional wave group is very important not only in the theory but also in the practice.In this paper, based on the study of numerical simulation of 2-D wave groups, through the use of directional distribution function the method of numerical simulation of the sea wave groups with the given spectrum ,the group height factor GFH and the parameter of different-direction waves is proposed. Statistics were performed on the simulated results to reveal the relationships between wave groupiness and statistical characteristics. At the same time the effect of different values of some parameters on the simulation of wave groups is evaluated and the associated proposals are given.The effect of directional spreading on the main parameters for describing wave groupiness is also discussed in this paper. Based on groupiness analysis of simulated sea waves for different directional spreading , relationship between directional spreading and parameters for describing wave groupiness is studied, which will provides reference to further study in this field in the future. |
