Thermal power generation is the main way to obtain electric energy in China.Improving the operational efficiency and stability of thermal power units is of great significance to China's energy and environment.With the advancement of technology,thermal power units are gradually developing towards large capacity,high parameters,and high efficiency,and the production technology of their supporting valves needs to be strengthened.Various types of valves are widely used in thermal power generating units.However,the forging quality and mechanical properties of the valve body produced by the traditional casting and forging process can hardly meet the working requirements of the high-end thermal power unit.The multi-directional die forging process combines the advantages of die forging and extrusion.The forgings produced by this process have uniform deformation,compact structure,complete streamline,good mechanical properties and corrosion resistance,and can better meet the requirements of high-end thermal power units.The check valve is installed on the high-pressure feed water pump outlet pipe of the thermal power unit,which has an important protective effect on the high-pressure feed water pump.In this paper,according to the structure of the check valve body and the characteristics of the multi-directional die forging process,the forgings of the valve body are designed,and three mold structures are designed.The Deform-3D software was used to simulate the multi-directional die forging process of the check valve body.Through the comparative analysis of the forming results,the optimal forming scheme using the combined die structure was determined.On the basis of the better forming scheme,the influence of various process parameters on the forming quality of forgings was analyzed.The reasonable process parameters and the better forming process plan were determined,and the die structure was designed,which has certain guiding significance for actual production.
