Research On Computer Aided Design Software Of The Reinforced Concrete Chimney

The purpose of this paper is researching on the application of Computer Aided Design(CAD) technology in the single tube reinforced concrete chimney ,which is part of the special structure design and calculate system.The special structure design and calculate system is a sub-system of PKPM series software which is developed by China Academy of Building Research.The CAD system performs designing of single tube reinforced concrete chimney and the foundation ,gives the result of the calculation and the set of working drawing.The system is successfully developed absorbing result of previous research projects,and using mixed-language of C++ and Fortran based on the CFG graphical platform.The paper consists of general contents followed by sections on:The calculations of the chimney tube body.This software can calculate the limit state of normal use,the controlling of the cracks of the tube body,and gives out the result of extreme condition temperature of the different parts along the height of the tube body;the plane shaking-periods and the frequency;the result under the wind-load condition and the seismic computation;the calculation of the add-ons bend moment;the result of bar details in the tube wall both in plane and vertical;the width of the cracks.The checking calculations of the chimney tube body.For the chimneys,which are already built,this software can give checking calculations.The foundation of the chimney.It can calculate and design the foundation data, using the calculation result of the tube body if necessary.This software can perform the calculation of bearing capacity of the basement;automatic choose between round and ringy foundation .At last ,it gives out the shape of the foundation and the results of the choosing of the bar details.According to tests of lots of the engineering examples, the function and application of the software achieve the develop aim and can satisfy users in the market.
