This article take ADV611 as a foundation, with TMS320C6205 as the core control chip, has designed a real-time memory system of the automobile video image. The thesis provides the systematic hardware structure and has introduced its operation principle, then discussed the compression performance of this video system based on ADV611. In the article has involved the wavelet theory and software design of this system. This system gathers, compresses, and stores the video image in real time to different speed and vehicle conditions. Real-time memory of video image of automobile has been realized.This thesis is divided into 6 chapters. The first and second chapters have showed the history and the domestic and foreign present situations of the automobile video image, and have summarized some image knowledge. The 3rd chapter has outlined the image coding technology, the wavelet transformation theory and image coding based on the wavelet transformation. The 4th chapter introduced the important chips used in this system and hardware design of the system. The fifth chapter show software design of the system and the sixth chapter summarized the system's merit and shortcoming as well as the prospects for development.
