In this paper, the basic concept and theory of the damage mechanical are summed up. Using damage mechanics, it has been described that the stress-strain softening and the interweaving between the damage and fracture during the rupture of concrete. The essential of rupture mechanism of concrete material is opened out. This paper introduces several kind of the damage model of concrete and presents a new kind of non-local damage model by adding the smooth weight function on the classical non-local damage model. At the same time, the methed of the concrete damage finite element has been given. The plentiful results of the example indicate that the non-local damage model introduced smooth weight function can get a better load-displacement curve than the classical damage model and also can overcome mesh dependence when the strain-softening phenomenon of concrete material is simulated.
